Natasha Hopkins, Student Activities Graduate Assistant
Natasha (Tasha) Hopkins is a new graduate assistant and resident coordinator, and she’s ready to inspire new successes at Heidelberg.
Tasha, originally from Atlanta, Georgia, received her B.A. in mass communications this year from the University of South Carolina and is pursuing her master’s degree in higher education and student affairs at Bowling Green State University. At HU, she is the advisor for the Berg Events Council (BEC), Heidelberg Homecoming Committee (H2O) and the Williard Residence Hall Council.
Tasha knows that success has to be worked for. “Success isn’t achieved overnight, but is the process of continually working towards reaching the mark,” she said. “I hope to inspire students to give their all. I want to challenge students to think outside the box, to try something new, and not to rely on traditions but rather to build upon them.”
And at the end of the day, Tasha believes a person just have to be proud of the work he or she has done. “Take every opportunity as a learning opportunity,” she said. “Success is being able to go to bed each night knowing that you gave the day your best…Success doesn’t mean happiness. Happiness means success. If you are happy with what you have done and who you are, then you are truly successful.”
