Mark Zeno, class of 1996, Director of Residence Life
“Sing ‘til the echoes bring back the lay…” goes the Heidelberg Alma Mater. Residence Life director, Mark Zeno (’96) heard the song and came back to “Sweet Alma Home”.
Mark graduated from Heidelberg with his degree in computer information systems. He received his master’s degree in higher education administration from the University of Akron in 1998, and is currently pursuing his doctoral degree in higher education administration at Bowling Green State University. Mark came back to Heidelberg in 2008 to help students find success at HU, as he did.
In addition to being ResLife director, Mark is a co-advisor for the Inter-Residence Hall Council (IRHC), and sits on several campus committees. His definition of success is, “the favorable or prosperous termination of attempts or endeavors. It is the accomplishments of goals we set for ourselves and/or others.”
Heidelberg has changed since Mark was a student here, and he is enthusiastically welcoming the new direction, while keeping with the Heidelberg tradition of excellence that he knows well. He said, “[Residence Life is] incorporating the brand of Heidelberg in our programs and initiatives this year as we focus on the theme of ‘Building a Community for Your Success’. Our office will focus on creating programs that are beneficial to the success of our students”.
