
President F. Dominic Dottavio
Dr. Dottavio received his Ph.D. degree in 1979 from Purdue University, his master's degree in 1975 from Yale University and his bachelor's degree in 1973 from The Ohio State University.
Dr. F. Dominic Dottavio became the 13th president of Heidelberg College in July 2003. He came to Heidelberg from The Ohio State University, where he served as dean and director of the Marion Campus and professor of natural resources in the College of Food, Agriculture and Environmental Sciences.
Since coming to Heidelberg, Dr. Dottavio has overseen the construction of Gillmor Science Hall, a 42,000-square-foot state-of-the-art facility that opened in January 2005, has put in place a strategic plan and a master plan, and begun initiatives in the areas of fund raising, enrollment management, and curriculum reform.
