Edwards Black Heritage Collection

Gerald Edwards, Class of 1972 and a former trustee of the university, and his wife, Jada, donated the funds to create a collection of books, audiovisual materials, and artwork representing black history, culture, literature, biography and other areas of black heritage.

Many different genres of literature are covered, including fiction, poetry, autobiographies, business and cookbooks. This special collection is located on the first floor of the library. Many students simply enjoy using the Edwards room as a comfortable place to study or relax.

To get a list of all items in the collection, search the library’s catalog  using “Edwards Black Heritage Collection” in a keyword or series title search.
