Campus community serves on MLK Day

In keeping with the life and teachings of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., the Heidelberg community observed a “day on” in service rather than a day off in rest by volunteering at a dozen locations in Tiffin and on campus.

The Office of Campus Ministry and Religious Life coordinated the Day of Service that drew more than 120 students, faculty, staff and administrators, including President Rob Huntington.

Following an opening ceremony, the group divided into teams and dispersed into the community to assist with projects such as restoration at the Spiva-Manley House, painting at the Teen Center and playing games with senior citizens at Elmwood at the Shawhan.
