Buhrman Wins Player of the Week Honor
Freshman forward Cory Buhrman (Brunswick, Ohio / Brunswick) of the Heidelberg College men’s soccer team has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Men’s Soccer Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 1, 2007. It is Buhrman’s first player of the week honor of his career.
In a 2-0 week for Heidelberg, Buhrman scored the game-winning against Defiance (9/25) and at the OAC opener against Muskingum (9/29) he had the assist on the game-winning goal. Heidelberg won both games 1-0.
He totaled 10 shots for the week, two of which were on goal. Buhrman also leads the team with 21 shots on the year, seven of which have been on goal. He is second on the team with five points and has a team high two game-winning goals.
Heidelberg currently boasts on overall record of 5-5 on the year and competes next on Tuesday Oct. 2 versus Ohio Northern University at home.
