Goblins, ghouls and Greeks! Oh my!

In an effort to provide an alternative to going out on Friday nights, the Greek organizations held an all-campus Halloween bash with all of the associated traditions on Friday. The first in a series of Alternative Friday Night activities was organized by the men of Sigma Tau Nu and the women of Kappa Psi Omega, who teamed with the Campus Center Programming Committee.

A large number of students, both Greek and non-Greek turned out for hayrides and a bonfire, bobbing for apples and pumpkin painting, along with cider and donuts and a viewing of the movie Casper, the Friendly Ghost. Cody Bartone, a member of Sigma Tau Nu, said the event was an effort to involve the entire campus and to show that Greek life is an asset to the college.

“We had an amazing turnout,” said Cody, a junior from Ashtabula, Ohio. “We were all very, very pleased and felt like we accomplished our goal.”

The Greek organizations are planning four more Alternative Friday Night events throughout the remainder of the fall semester.
