Berg Events Council wins big

They’re two-for-two. Berg Events Council and the Office of Student Activities, for the second consecutive year, swept the awards in the small-school category at the National Association of Campus Activities Mid-America Regional Conference recently in St. Charles, Ill.

BEC won major awards in the following categories:

  • 2007 Program of the Year for Deal or No Deal
  • 2007 Outstanding Low-Cost Program for “What Would You Do for Money?”
  • 2007 Outstanding Series Program for Late Night Fridays
  • Outstanding Multi-Cultural Program for Diversity Week’s Jason Stuart

Additionally, the Office of Student Activities and Leadership Development received the Outstanding Educational program award for its presentation of V-Day: The Vagina Monologues.

Universities and colleges from Michigan, Missouri, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Kansas, West Virginia, Wisconsin and other midwestern states attended the conference.

Congratulations to all of the students, and their leader, Reetha Perananamgam, for their efforts throughout the year to provide quality programming for the campus.
