Seeking top scholars

High school scholars who are considering enrolling at Heidelberg converged on campus Saturday to compete for one of the college’s top academic scholarships. In the second of two Scholars Days, about 50 invited students and their families participated in a series of events that included seminars, tours and lunch for both groups.

Students competing for one of 12 top scholarships submitted a portfolio in advance of Scholars Day. During their time on campus, they were asked to write an essay and interview with two faculty members. Based on combined scores from the portfolios, essays and interviews, scholarship recipients will be determined near the end of February.
