Women's BB thinking pink

On Feb. 13, the members of the women’s basketball team won’t be wearing their familiar red, orange and black warm-up jerseys. Instead, the women will don pink shirts in honor of the national “Think Pink!” campaign.

“Think Pink” is an initiative of the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association aimed at raising awareness about breast cancer. Coach Karen McConnell has special activities planned for the game. All proceeds will be donated to the Breast Cancer Fund. In addition to the players, all fans are asked to wear pink to the game.

Student admission is $1 with an ID, but students wearing pink get in free. Adult admission is $5. Breast cancer survivors will be honored at half time. There also will be giveaways and more. Tip-off is at 7:30. Come to the game and Think Pink!
