The World Student Union and the International Office organized the event so Chinese students and visiting faculty members, along with Chinese children living in Tiffin, could experience the colorful and symbolic tradition.The dragon dance typically features a team of people carrying the dragon on poles. The movements of lifting, dipping and sweeping the dragon’s head symbolize the historical roles of dragons, demonstrating power and dignity. A highlight of the Chinese New Year, the dragon is believed to bring good luck to people.
