Release of the 2010-11 Schedule

Tiffin, Ohio – October 11, 2010 – Third-year head coach Marcie Alberts has announced the release of the 2010-2011 Heidelberg University women’s basketball schedule. The season features 18 Ohio Athletic Conferences games, while hosting 10 games at Heidelberg’s home court Seiberling Gymnasium. The team will also travel to Wisconsin and Nevada for two in-season tournaments.

The 2009-10 season concluded with an overall record of 7-19, while posting a 6-12 mark against OAC foes. The Berg qualified for the OAC Tournament for their 24th appearance overall.

The Berg will tip off its season in a non-conference matchup at Denison University on Nov. 16 at 7:00 p.m.

Heidelberg then heads to Wisconsin for a new addition to its schedule, the Dunn’s Sporting Goods Tip-off Tournament hosted by Wisconsin Lutheran College. The tournament will run the weekend of Nov. 19. They return to play Ohio Wesleyan University on Nov.23.

The women’s first home game will take place against OAC opponent Baldwin-Wallace College on Dec.1, with another OAC home game on Saturday against Wilmington College to conclude the week.

The following Saturday will be an away game against Muskingum University (Dec.11) before traveling to Las Vegas, NV.  This tournament will run Dec. 20-21. The Berg returns to its home court for a game against Oberlin College (Dec. 30).

During the month of January, the Berg will host four its nine games. These include OAC opponents Ohio Northern University (Jan.5), Marietta College (Jan.8), Mount Union University (Jan.15), and Muskingum University (Jan.29).

Heidelberg starts off the month of February with two home games against John Carroll University (Feb.2) and Capital University (Feb.5).  The following week is on the road at Ohio Northern University (Feb.9) and Marietta College (Feb.12).

In its final week of regular season play, the Berg returns Wednesday for a home match against Otterbein University (Feb.16) and finishes at Mount Union University (Feb.19).
