Speaking of champions ...
Heidelberg’s speech team won second place in the President’s Division at the Ohio Forensic Association’s State Speech Championship last weekend. Coached by Dan Higgins, Heidelberg’s team was represented by (left to right in photo) Jessica Evans, Kristen Stahl and Autumn Arp.
Individual honors went to Autumn, who was the novice state champion in International Cultural Informative Speaking. She also won sixth place in both Impromptu Speaking and Poetry Interpretation. Kristen took fifth place in International Cultural Informative.Jessica, a December 2007 graduate, majored in biopsychology with chemistry and Spanish minors. She is from Sheffield Lake. Autumn, a sophomore from Bellevue, is majoring in public relations and English. Kristen, a freshman from Fostoria, is majoring in communication and theatre arts.
