Chamber, JA host reception for Gillmor

Heidelberg Trustee and State Senate candidate Karen Gillmor was the guest at a Business After Hours reception in Gillmor Hall on Feb. 21. The reception was hosted by Junior Achievement and the Tiffin Area Chamber of Commerce.

Gillmor talked about the value of JA to her boys and to all school-age children. Two of her sons are preparing to participate in Biz Town, a program that offers young people the opportunity to experience adult life and learn about management and other important skills.

A candidate for State Senate seeking to represent Ohio’s 26th district, she spoke about the work to be done to restore the Ohio Senate to the “golden age.” She has expressed interest in chairing the senate’s Insurance, Commerce and Labor Committee, a position she held during her previous service to the Senate.
