Tiffin, Ohio – February 8, 2011 – Junior Joe Yoder (West Liberty, Ohio / West Liberty Salem) represented the Heidelberg University men’s track and field team over the weekend at the Ohio Northern University Invitational.
Yoder provisionally qualified for the NCAA Division III Championships in the pentathlon with 3,485 points.
He swept the five-event competition with first-place finishes in the 1,000 meter run (2:47.32), 55 meter hurdles (8.12), high jump (6’4.25”), long jump (19’8.25”), and shot put (36’4.75”).
Yoder joins sophomore Marian Bevington (Celina, Ohio / Parkway) for Heidelberg’s track and field provisional qualifiers so far this season. Bevington has provisionally qualified in long jump.
