Fall A survey of the development of musical style, focusing on historical, cultural, and social influences on musical expression, composition, and literature during the years 450-1750 AD. Relationships to other modes of artistic expression are explored, as well as common influences on artistic development, and the purposes of artistic expression. Prerequisite: MUS 121, 122.
