Web Project Requests

The Office of Marketing & Communication Services Website Guidelines

The guidelines set here are designed to help you and the Office of Marketing & Communication Services effectively work together to maintain a high standard of quality for the Heidelberg website. The Office of Marketing & Communication Services reserves the right to deny a project based on the necessity of the requests.

The Office of Marketing & Communication Services will see through the completion of all projects and make sure a project is completed according to the highest possible standard of quality.

Requesting updates to exisiting pages or forms

Allow 2 to 5 business days for updates to existing pages or forms.

Email the Webmaster, webmaster@heidelberg.edu, with the following:

  1. The exact URL of the page to be updated
  2. The text to be used, including the URLs of any hyperlinks
  3. Any images to be included in the page

 

Requesting New Pages

Allow 5 to 7 business days the creation of new pages.

Email the Webmaster, webmaster@heidelberg.edu, with the following:

  1. The desired URL of the page to be created
  2. The text to be used, including the URLs of any hyperlinks
  3. Any images to be included in the page

 

Requesting New Forms

Allow 5 to 7 business days the creation of new forms.

Email the Webmaster, webmaster@heidelberg.edu, with the following:

  1. The labels for all desired fields
  2. The email address of the recipent of the form
  3. The URL of the desired landing page, upon the completion of the form. If you would like a custom landing page, include the edited copy for the page.

 

Additional Information

  • No copy will be accepted in writing, only in an electronic format.
  • Do not submit copy formatted with double spaces after periods. They will need to be removed before being placed into a webpage.
  • The person or office requesting the project bears the responsibility of proofreading. Please have all copy proofread and corrected before it comes to the Office of Marketing & Communication Services.
  • If a photo is of poor quality, the photo may be rejected.

Project Approval and Signoff

The Webmaster will complete the project as requested, and then notify the person or office requesting the project to review the site/form for content. After the project has been approved, changes will have to be a new request.
