Executive Assistant to the President
Heidelberg University is seeking a highly organized, motivated, energetic individual with a thorough knowledge of University policies, procedures, and operations, in addition to an understanding of the University’s role within the community, to fill the role of Executive Assistant to the President.
This is a full-time position with responsibilities ranging from greeting visitors to campus to handling highly confidential material and correspondence requiring discretion and diplomacy. The Executive Assistant to the President serves as a member of the University Senior Leadership Team, and acts as a liaison between the Office of the President and the Board of Trustees, faculty, staff, students, parents, and the community. The Executive Assistant is responsible for managing the President’s schedule and the daily priorities of the office; planning and executing meeting arrangements; planning special events, serving on various campus committees, and managing the budget of the office. The Executive Assistant also serves as Assistant Secretary to the Board of Trustees by providing administrative support for regular meetings of the Board.
The successful candidate must model leadership values of integrity, honesty, humility, transparency, respectfulness, diversity, caring, loyalty and accountability in all work; must demonstrate a high degree of professionalism, trustworthiness, initiative and independence in supporting the President on a wide variety of complex issues; be able to handle highly sensitive and confidential information; have impeccable verbal and written communications skills; enjoy working with people; be adept at consistently multitasking while accurately attending to detail; be able to work independently; and be proficient with word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software.
Bachelor’s degree is required, Master’s preferred. Additional requirements include: five to ten years of increasingly responsible secretarial or administrative experience; experience working with governing bodies; and experience in maintaining confidential information. This position may, on occasion, require evening and weekend hours.

Graduate Assistant – Sports Information & Athletic Marketing
Heidelberg University is seeking a highly motivated individual for the position of Sports Information & Athletic Marketing Graduate Assistant. The position will assist the Director of Sports Information & Athletic Marketing with the day-to-day sports information operations of a 20-sport NCAA Division III athletic department that competes in the nationally recognized Ohio Athletic Conference. Duties will include writing game/match/event advances and stories, website management, promoting Heidelberg student-athletes and coaches across traditional and emerging media communication vehicles, design and layout of several weekly and annual publications, game/event management, historical research and accurate archiving of athletic records, participation in webcasting a number of athletic events, building photographical databases and managing home athletic events with a medium-size student assistant staff.
Applicants should have strong oral and written communication skills, experience with desktop publishing software (Adobe InDesign CS, Adobe Photoshop CS), Microsoft Office, Stat Crew/The Automated Scorebook software. The ideal applicant will also be a self-motivated, proactive individual.
Experience with radio/television broadcasting, web streaming, social media communications, non-linear video editing and marketing/sponsorship initiatives is a plus.
Bachelor's degree in mass communication, journalism, public relations, marketing, sport management or a related field required.

Graduate Assistant – Athletic Training
Position
One Athletic Training Graduate Assistantship is available within Heidelberg University’s Department of Athletic Training. This position is a 10 (ten) month appointment beginning August 2012 and is renewable for two years from August 2012 through May 2014.
Qualifications
- Acceptance into a Graduate Studies Program at Heidelberg University
- Successful completion of BOC Certification Examination or Eligibility (prior to June 2011)
- Eligible to obtain a license to practice as an Athletic Trainer in the State of Ohio (prior to start date)
- Athletic Training clinical experience with a variety of sports including Football and Baseball.
- Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and Athletic Training skills.
Responsibilities
- Report to the Chair of Athletic Training with supervision by the Head Athletic Trainer.
- Assist in evaluating injuries, administering treatments, and implementing rehabilitation programs to a variety of varsity intercollegiate athletes, focusing on Football and Baseball (including travel) with other coverage as assigned.
- Assist with teaching basic skills to ATEP students within curriculum.
- Assist with clinical supervision, mentoring and evaluation of Athletic Training Students.
- Other duties as assigned by Chair of Athletic Training.

Candidate selected for graduate assistant athletic training positions will receive:

- Additional funds may be obtained in the summer months through camp coverage.
