Dr. Weininger has spent his entire professional career in education. He began his career as a seventh-grade mathematics teacher in the Big Walnut School District, Sunbury, Ohio. His interest in mathematics lead him to pursue a Ph.D. in mathematics and a career as a mathematics professor at Heidelberg beginning in 1985. While at Heidelberg, he became increasingly involved in administrative work, and in 2007, he became the Vice President for Academic Affairs. In 2008, his title was changed to Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost.
