An investigation of the ways living organisms interact with each other and their physical environments. Topics include adaptations of individuals to environmental stress, the structure and growth of populations, competition, predation, community ecology and the flow of energy and nutrients through ecosystems. The lab introduces students to experimental ecology. Three 2-hour classes each week. Prerequisites: BIO 123, 124 and a statistics course; COM 100; ENG 101. Open to juniors and seniors only.
