Physical Chemistry I
Study of the principles of chemistry used to explain and interpret observations on the physical and chemical properties of matter. Topics include thermodynamics, chemical equilibria, and electrochemistry. This course is the junior level discipline specific communication requirement for the chemistry major. Prerequisites: CHM 111, 112, 201 and 202; COM 100; ENG 101; PHY 101 and 102, MTH 222 and 223. Three recitations and one 3-hour laboratory period per week.
