Admission Office

The admission process at Heidelberg allows us to get to know you, your achievements and your aspirations. The Admission Office is here to help get you started, answer all your questions and ensure you have the information you need to make the decision that is right for you.

Athletics

Heidelberg offers 20 varsity sports in its athletic program. The Berg competes in the tough Ohio Athletic Conference comprised of NCAA Division III Institutions. The men have opportunities in football, soccer, cross country, golf, track (indoor and outdoor), baseball, tennis, wrestling, lacrosse and basketball. Women have the opportunity for involvement as members of the soccer, volleyball, cross country, track (indoor or outdoor), softball, tennis, golf, lacrosse and basketball teams for the Berg. Cheerleading is also recognized as a varsity sport.

Beeghly Library

Beeghly Library provides access to information for research and learning to the university community; maintains a welcoming learning environment; preserves the history of the University; and through research instruction, provides students with the resources and confidence to access, evaluate, and synthesize information to lead a life of purpose with distinction.

Bookstore

The Heidelberg Bookstore is located in Campus Center and is owned and operated by Heidelberg University. The bookstore carries a wide variety of apparel, gifts, graduation items, and general books. 

Business Office

The Busines Office handles all financial functions of the institution, such as accounts payable, financial statements, Perkins Loan administration, tax reporting and billing of student accounts. 

Center for Historic and Military Archaeology

The Center for Historic and Military Archaeology (CHMA) is an academic research and experiential learning program designed to reach beyond the traditional focus of undergraduate education. The CMHA provides a quality program for anthropological archaeologists focusing on historic and military archaeology and cultural research.

Civic Engagement

Civic Engagement promotes engagement of students, faculty and staff in the creation of relationships with schools, for-profits, non-profits and governmental organizations leading to direct volunteerism, service-learning, and responsible citizenship through electoral participation.

Computer, Network & Information Technology

CNIT is an acronym for Computer, Network & Information Technology, the department which supports Heidelberg students, faculty, staff and researchers in their use of technology.

Conference & Events

Offering quality facilities and services to meet the various needs of conferences and campus, the campus includes 26 facilities within easy walking distance to accomodate between 75 and 700 people. The summer conferenence schedule is May - early August for one-day or week long camps. 

Dining Services, ARAMARK

ARAMARK is proud to partner with Heidelberg to provide food service to the campus and Tiffin Community.

Financial Aid

Need financial assistance? Financial aid is available based upon your need, determined by information provided on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Other forms of financial aid include academic merit and awards of circumstance. Be sure to visit the Scholarships and Grants page for more information on available aid.

Health & Counseling Center

The Dr. L.D. Stoner Health & Counseling Center provides the Heidelberg University full-time traditional and commuters students with a modern clinical facility and small pharmaceutical dispensary.

Human Resources

The Human Resource Office oversees health & wellness programs, employee benefits, policies and procedures for faculty and staff, and filling open positions at the university. 

International Affairs & Studies

The Office of International Affairs & Studies promotes intercultural understanding and global awareness through educational, social, and intercultural programming for all members of the university. The Office provides support services such as immigration and academic counseling to assist non-immigrant students and scholars with their transition to Heidelberg University and the U.S.

Krammes Service Center

The Krammes Service Center takes care of everything to keep campus humming, from daily maintence, landscaping, facility repairs and transportation.

Mail Room & Print Shop

The Mail Room & Print Shop houses resources to handle bulk mail, ship and receive packages, printing, copying and binding services.

Marketing & Communication Services

Marketing & Communication Services (MCS) provides a framework for delivering consistent, accessible and timely information that enhances and improves the University’s brand image. Our goal is to strengthen relationships with students (prospective and current) and their families, faculty and staff, alumni, community and donors. In short, the goal is to show and tell the Heidelberg story.

Office of Institutional and Market Research

The Office of Institutional and Market Research leads the development and implementation of institutional and market research practices in support of the University’s Strategic Action Plan. This office is the central point of contact for institutional and external data analysis and reporting. We provide support and analysis for institutional planning, budgeting, program review, accreditation, enrollment, and assessment processes.

Owen Center for Academic & Career Support

The Owen Center for Academic & Career Support actively engages students with services and resources to help clarify and achieve their personal goals, enhance their Heidelberg experience, and build skills that will contribute to success throughout life. Through individual appointments, group sessions, and faculty collaboration, students can access tutoring, disability accommodation assistance, time management, and study skills coaching. Through career management advising, workshops, and network-focused events, the Owen Center prepares students to explore and establish connections for post-graduate goal attainment.

President's Office

Dr. Robert H. Huntington became the 14th president of Heidelberg University on July 1, 2009. Since his arrival, strengthening the university’s core mission has been placed at the forefront, with a focus on two long-term strategic goals: Improving Academic Excellence and Improving the Student Experience.

Registrar

The Office of the Registrar is the definitive source for information about college curricula, degree requirements, class schedules, course registration, transfer credit evaluation, and academic standing and history. Located in University Hall, the office provides services for current students and faculty, as well as alumni.

Residence Life

Residence Life & Housing supports the mission of the University by planning, designing, and administering housing and residential life programs, policies, and services for all students. The Res Life staff enhances academic achievement, development, and personal growth of our students. In cooperation with other student affairs staff members, the staff shares an awareness of and concern for all aspects of each student's classroom, residential, and co-curricular life, and formulates and interprets policy.

Safety and Security

The Safety & Security Department at Heidelberg University provides a safe and secure environment for all members of the Heidelberg University family, including students, faculty, staff and campus visitors. The Office of Safety and Security supports student learning by ensuring a safe and secure environment on campus by enforcing the policies and regulations set by the university.

Saurwein Health & Wellness Center

The mission of the Saurwein Health & Wellness Center is to promote an environment where healthy living is encouraged by educational and practical experiences that enhance the well-being of the Heidelberg community. Saurwein contains a multi-room for fitness classes, a ping-pong lounge space, weight equipment, and cardio equipment. 

Student Engagement

Your college life at the Berg will be as diverse and exciting as you want it to be by getting involved with the many opportunities that our office has to offer. The Office of Student Engagement provides a meaningful education and out-of-class experience for HU students through a variety of unique programs, services, and activities where the campus community can interact with others, leading to a life of purpose with distinction. 

University Archives

The Heidelberg Archives are a repository where materials pertinent to the history of Heidelberg University are collected, preserved, systematically stored, and made available to members of the Heidelberg community for research about the school. Others can also gain access by appointment to the collection for research purposes.
