Institutional Articulation

Graduates from Terra Community College who hold an Associate of Arts or an Associate of Science degree including a minimum of sixty (60) semester hours or equivalent of Terra collegiate work or accredited transfers to Terra and who meet the admission requirements of Heidelberg University, will be admitted with full junior status.

Students who have completed an Associate degree other than an AA or AS, or prior to completion of the AA degree, are also welcome to apply to Heidelberg. Transfer credit will be evaluated on a course by course basis and applied toward the student’s class standing and Heidelberg’s degree requirements.

Dual Admission and Enrollment Program

This program is designed so students can complete their Associates degree at Terra Community College and then transfer seamlessly to Heidelberg University to finish their Bachelor’s degree. While in the dual admission program, students may enroll in one course per semester for up to four semesters at Heidelberg while enrolled at Terra. Students pay the Terra tuition rate for the Heidelberg course. Additional information

Terra AA/AS Degree 2 + 2 Transfer Guides

This agreement provides a clear pathway for students planning to pursue an Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree from Terra and then transfer to Heidelberg. Students should work with their advisor and use these 4-year plans as guides toward completing their degrees. Students with an AA/AS degree will have all of Heidelberg’s general education requirements met upon transfer.

Accounting and Business Management Transfer Agreement

Students pursuing an Associate of Applied Business in Accounting or Business Management who plan to transfer to Heidelberg for a Bachelor of Art degree in Accounting or Business Administration should work with their advisor and use these 4-year plans as guides toward completing their degrees.

Early Childhood Education Transfer Agreement

Students pursuing teacher licensure in Early Childhood Education may choose from 3 options to complete a BA degree at Heidelberg:

  1. Students NOT pursing an associate degree
    Students who are not pursing an associate degree should use these equivalencies to aid in selecting transferrable courses that will meet Heidelberg’s general education and major requirements.
    • Appendix B.1—column 1 lists Heidelberg’s general education requirements; column 2 lists the Heidelberg course(s) that meet the requirements; column 3 lists the Terra course equivalencies.
    • Appendix B.2—column 1 lists the major requirements for Early Childhood Education and the additional requirements for Intervention Specialist (optional); column 2 lists the Terra course equivalencies.

  2. Students pursuing an AA-Education Transfer Degree

  3. Students pursuing an AAS-Early Childhood Education

Health Sciences Transfer Agreement

Students pursuing an Associate of Applied Science in Health Information Technology or in Medical Assisting with plans to transfer to a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences should work with their advisor and use these guides toward completing the degree.

Music Performance Transfer Agreement

Students pursuing an Associate of Applied Science in Music Performance with plans to transfer to a Bachelor of Music in Performance should work with their advisor and use these 4-year plans as guides toward completing the degree.
