Google is rolling out an improved video chat experience to BergApps users called Google+ Hangouts. Soon, you'll notice a simpler and more consistent experience when you use video chat in BergApps/Gmail.
What’s new with Google+ Hangouts?
- Better quality. Look and sound your best with higher quality audio and video in Google+ Hangouts.
- More reliable connections. Stay connected with your colleagues using a more reliable connection with Google+ Hangouts.
- Simpler user interface. You’ll see an improved chat roster with quick access links to call phones and start a hangout.
If you’re not quite ready to get started, note that for a while, you can switch back to the old version of video chat in Gmail from the More menu in the text chat box.
