Internship Information
Internship Program provides junior and senior level students in good academic standing the opportunity to obtain practical on-the-job experience while earning up to 15 hours of academic credit. Detailed guidelines are available in the Heidelberg Internship Program Handbook.
Heidelberg University is committed to the principle that student internships involving practical, real-world work experience can represent a valuable part of the collegiate experience. Faculty members supervise and help to arrange a broad range of intern experiences in various settings: business and arts organizations, government agencies, communications media, and public interest groups. Students are sometimes offered full-time employment as a direct result of an internship experience.

To Register for an Internship...
To register your internship for credit, please print and complete theInternship Contract, submit it to the Career Development Office with the appropriate signatures, and you will be registered for the course within three (3) business days. You register for an internship at the same time you register for your other courses. Please keep in mind that you must register for your internship by the LAST DAY TO ADD A CLASS for the semester during which you plan to complete the internship (please refer to the Academic Calendar for dates and deadlines). SPECIAL NOTE FOR SUMMER INTERNSHIPS: You will be billed for the appropriate credit hours associated with your internship experience.
To Apply for the Tiffin Metal Products Inc., Internship / Scholarship Fund...
A fund has been established from a generous gift provided by Tiffin Metal Products Inc., that provides Heidelberg Students with the chance to apply knowledge obtained through coursework to experiential learning opportunities in a business environment. These experiential learning opportunities can take the form of internships, practicum, entrepreneurships, or other committee approved learning experiences. The Career Development Office at Heidelberg University disburses this fund on the recommendation of a selection commitee. It is the college’s goal to fund experiential learning experiences for as many individuals as possible. Questions about this special Internship / scholarship program?
