International and Multicultural Affairs

International StudentsWelcome to the Office of International and Multicultural Affairs at Heidelberg University. The Office of International and Multicultural Affairs is dedicated to cultivating appreciation, respect, equality, and fairness for all people. The students, faculty, and staff at Heidelberg University represent diversity in many ways, including ethnicity, race, religious belief, gender, abilities, and age. We are here to share in the common goal of creating an environment that both acknowledges and celebrates these differences.

The Office of International and Multicultural Affairs is committed to addressing any incident of prejudice, stereotyping, harassment, or any other form of inequality that could create an undesirable campus environment for any individual or group.

Our most important and continuing goal is for our campus to foster diversity awareness, to embrace diversity education, and to ensure that the broad diversity of our population is fully appreciated as a highly enriching, satisfying,  and integral part of the Heidelberg University experience.

Heidelberg's intimate community offers its students a great opportunity to live in a diverse academic environment that facilitates growth and success.

International Student Affairs is located on the third floor of Campus Center. Stop by and see us to learn more about upcoming events that are planned specifically for our international student body. It is a great place to meet other international students that have chosen to further their studies at Heidelberg University. Our staff is dedicated to helping you make the most of your studies and to make the transition to American life as easy as possible. We offer guidance from class planning to immigration issues and travel plans.

The office of international student affairs leads the University’s efforts in programming various cultural activities throughout the academic school year. Some of the activities include a monthly international coffee hour, a host family program, Chinese New Year celebration, and an annual international dinner. Heidelberg celebrates positive aspects of cultural, social, and political diversity among people all over the world.
