One Day Orientation Schedule
9:00 AM - 9:15 AM Welcome Session (Family Members and Students)
All students and parents will gather in the Great Hall to meet the current faculty, staff and students participating in this Orientation session.
9:20 AM – 10:00 AM Assuming Responsibility at the Berg (Family Members)
Learn about how the Berg teaches responsibility and accountability through an effective student conduct model.
9:20 AM – 10:00 AM Language Test (Students)
Students needing to take the Language test will do so.
9:20 AM – 10:00 AM Classroom Tour (Students)
Students that have scheduled classes already will have an opportunity to find their classrooms on campus.
10:10 AM – 10:30 AM How to Register Online (Students)
Students will meet with the Registrar to learn how to select and register for classes through OASIS2 the online registration system.
10:10 AM – 10:50 AM From Cradle to Campus (Family Members)
Sending your child off to college is a difficult thing to do. This session will offer support, advice, encouragement, and help answer any transitional questions that you may have about “letting go”.
11:00 AM – 11:40 AM Working with Academic Records (Family Members)
This session will explain topics including fall class schedules, on-line academic records, academic calendar, transfer credit, enrollment verification, and FERPA.
10:40 AM – 11:50 AM Academic Advising & Registration (Students)
Students will meet with an advisor to discuss their academic goals and what classes they should consider to reach these goals.

Find answers to your questions related to residence hall living, adjusting to a roommate, and what you can and can’t bring to college
1:00 PM – 1:30 PM Commuting to Campus (Family Members and Students)
Commuter students will meet to learn what special services there are on campus for students traveling to campus each day.
1:40 PM – 2:10 PM Paying the Bill (Family Members and Students)
Learn about Heidelberg’s tuition payment plans as well as loan options available to students and parents to help pay the bill. General information about our billing process will also be reviewed.
2:20 PM – 2:40 PM Technology at the Berg (Family Members and Students)
CNIT, The Computer Network, and Information Technology department will share information about connecting to the campus network and the resources for students.
2:40 PM – 3:00 PM Q and A (Family Members)
Family members will have an opportunity to ask final questions that may not have been answered during the day.
2:40 PM – 3:00 PM Mailbox and IDs (Students)
Students will have their ID picture taken and receive their mailbox codes.
3:00 PM – 3:30 PM Dean’s Farewell (Family Members)
Parents will be completing final paperwork before leaving.
