Cooperative Learning Communities

In additional to the six traditional residence halls, special interest housing options are available to residential students. Upperclass student groups apply in groups of 4-8 to live in a Cooperative Learning Community (CLC). CLCs are student-developed, service learning projects in which members live in College-owned homes. The CLCs are designed to provide opportunities for students to develop initiatives and programs that they feel will enrich Heidelberg College and the City of Tiffin.
 

The CLC’s for the 2007-2008 academic year are as follows:
  • The BRIC house (Building and Recycling in the Community)

  • The BINGO house (To better the lives of those in need)

  • The CARE house (Caring About Relationships and Education)
    • Sponsor Agency: North Central Ohio Educational Service Center
  • The HAVOC house (Helping Victims Overcome Crisis)
    • Sponsor Agency: Tiffin-Seneca United Way
  • The PAWS house (Enriching the community by working with Animals
    • Sponsor Agency: Humane Society of Seneca County
  • The REC house (raising awareness of the recreational opportunities around Tiffin)
    • Sponsor Agency: Tiffin Parks and Recreation
  • The Adopt-a-berg house (Provide a cleaner environment for Tiffin)
    • Sponsor Agency: OSS Joint Solid Waste Management District
  • The WISH house (We Inspire Success and Hope)
    • Sponsor Agency: Bridges Community Academy
  • The CDH house (Children Deserve Happiness)
    • Sponsor Agency: Patchworks House and The Tiffin YMCA
  • The MEAT house (Mentoring Elderly Adults Together)
    • Sponsor Agency: Elmwood Assisted Living
