Residence Life & Learning Hall

The Residence Life & Learning Hall is located in the center of campus, between Brown Hall, the Bryenton Honors House and Gundlach Theatre. The new facility will include a 120-student Residence Life Hall and a 9,000-square-foot student University Commons area for all students. To be considered, a student must be of sophomore standing and academic performance will also be taken into consideration. The new residence hall will address Heidelberg’s two paramount strategic goals, improving academic excellence and improving the student experience. Aimed primarily at sophomores, the hall will include five, two-story, 24-student “pods,” each with 12 students per floor in bedrooms surrounding an open, two-story living/gathering space. The living space will include a balcony, loft seating, kitchen, soft seating and study spaces to reinforce the academic mission. An important part of the project will be the student commons area, filled with a variety of offerings that will entice all students to gather. The commons will be attached to the residence hall but constructed as its own space with a separate entry. The address is 77 Greenfield St., Tiffin, OH 44883.
