Spring Break 2011: New York City
Heidelberg students, faculty, and staff traveled to NYC to volunteer with Project Homecoming, a community center in Staten Island. While there, the group helped prepare and serve meals in a soup kitchen, worked in a food pantry, and assisted in community organizing.
Spring Break 2011: New Orleans
Heidelberg students, faculty and staff traveled to New Orleans, LA to work with a program called Project Homecoming, rebuilding homes damaged by the 2005 Hurricane Katrina.

After cleanup and another round of pantry shopping we listened to volunteers tell us their stories of how they lived in the shelter system and how much Project Hospitality has changed their lives for the better.”
