Alternative Spring Break

One of the most exciting programs offered by the Office of Spiritual Life is the Alternative Spring Break. Offered during the first week of our annual Spring Break, the Alternative Spring Break has two goals:
  1. make a tremendous impact in the world through simple acts of charity, goodwill and justice.
  2. provide urban and international experiences for Heidelberg students so that they are better prepared to be socially conscious citizens of the world.
The 2008 Trip is scheduled for New York City. Look for more information on how you can participate in the Alternative Spring Break all throughout Fall Semester 2007.

Spring Break 2006: Chicago
While in Chicago, Heidelberg Students fed homeless youth on the streets with a wonderful group of people from The Night Ministry.  They also prepared a home for refugees relocated from violent and war-torn areas of the world through a social agency called The Immigration and Refugee Ministry.
