Becoming Part of ISC
Becoming a member of ISC is something that any member of the 4 women's societies can do. Elections are held at the end of each year to determine the members for the following year. In order to be considered, a candidate must slate for a position. Slating is a process of writing a letter that will be read and reviewed by the executive board. At this point they will choose the most qualified candidates and set up an interview with each of them. From this, they will then vote on a candidate.
If you are interested in slating for a position in the future, we highly encourage you to come to any of our meetings, which are held at 9pm in Campus Center 220 every Monday.

Article XI
Slating
Section A.
The slating process is a time when society women are invited to submit a letter of intent for ISC Executive Board and Committee Chair positions. The slating process will begin when deemed by the ISC President and continue until all positions have been filled.
Section B.
The letter of intent shall be submitted to the ISC President. The letters of intent will be reviewed by the ISC Executive Board and a select committee of seniors whom are selected by their respective groups. The selective committee is complied of one member from each group.
Section C.
The letters of intent should be submitted for the following positions:
ISC Executive Board: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Parliamentarian.
Committee Chairs: Membership, Programming, Fundraising, Community Service/ Philanthropic, Public Relations, Greek Week, and Greek Sing.
Section D.
The letters of intent shall be typed and include: Name, Address, Phone Number, Group and number of semester active, the position(s) in which you are interested, why you are interested, what qualifications and/or experience you have, and what goals you have for the position.
Section E.
After letters of intent have been reviewed there will be a period of interviews. This process will consist of the ISC Executive Board and the select committee of seniors.
Remember, the more people who slate the more positions that can be filled! It would be great to see two people in each chair position!
