New and Events
Homecoming
The Heidelberg Greek organizations show school spirit each fall through their involvement in many Homecoming activities. Each group creates a float for the parade, as well as sponsors various events at the bonfire.
Greek Sing
Greek Sing During the fall semester of each academic year, the Interfraternity and Intersociety Councils sponsor the annual Greek activity known as Greek Sing. Each group prepares a program, where they sing (and sometimes even dance) and then at the end participate in an all Greek song.
Greek Weekend
Throughout the academic school year, the Greeks come together two different weekends to participate in fun activities as an entire Greek community. This event has come to be known as Greek Weekend. One is planned for each semester, and activities in the past have included community service, lip sync contests, teacher appreciation, and many others. This fall, Greek Weekend has been planned for November 2 and 3. Some of the tentatively scheduled events are a senior dinner, an all Greek dance, and soap box derby races. In the spring, the biggest event during Greek Weekend is the Greek Olympics. This is where fraternities and societies come together to compete in the events that each group has planned. Obstacle courses, volleyball, Jell-o slide, and the infamous dizzy bat are just a few of the events. Even though friendly competition occurs, unity is the ultimate goal.
