You are about to embark on a journey that will change the rest of your college experience here at the Berg. Fraternities and societies offer you this new rite of passage where the doors to leadership, scholarship, service and friendship are open wide.
This is the time for you to get to know every fraternity or society on campus. Greek men and women will organize events together or individually to enable you to get to know them. You have the opportunity to discover, explore and determine where and how you fit. Your decision to Go Greek will have a great impact on the rest of your years here at Heidelberg and even after you graduate. Keep an open mind during the recruitment period.
Both fraternities and societies will showcase themselves through various informational programs such as smokers and game nights. The annual Greek Sing during Parent/Family Weekend usually provides an entertaining glimpse.
The recruitment period continues until the end of the first semester as students will have the opportunity to participate in many Greek-sponsored events and programs. Greek Open Houses, Rotationals, Smokers and Teas will give you the chance to tour the Greek Halls, learn more about the fraternities and societies, and see what each group has to offer.
