Student Account Activation
What Kind of Accounts Do I Need to Access Computing Resources on Campus?
At the present time, you have two IDs and passwords that are used to protect access to your personalized information:
Your OASIS ID (9 digits) and OASIS PIN (6 digits) are used to protect your OASIS access.
Your Heidelberg NetID username (up to 8 characters) and password (6-8 characters) are used to access your Heidelberg email and “M drive.” Think of them as your keys to the Internet. Your NetID and password are also used to register your personal computer when you connect it to ResNet (the on-campus residential network).
OASIS: Online Academic Support and Information System
Once registered for courses, you are given an ID and PIN to access the OASIS system. OASIS is a web-based system that provides access to your academic information (e.g. course schedule, academic transcript, grade reports, billing status, etc.). You can learn more about OASIS, or you can visit the OASIS login page. Instructions for accessing and using the system are presented in our Total Student Development (TSD) orientation program. Additional instructions are available in the Registrar's Office, the Computer Center and at the Arrowhead Park campus in Maumee.Heidelberg NetID
Each student is assigned an 8-character username, referred to as their NetID. Your NetID name and password are what you use to access your Heidelberg email via the BergMail system. In addition, if you are a student on the main campus, you may use your NetID to log into Windows computers in campus labs and to access your "M drive" (server disk space) from your residence hall room. We anticipate that you will be able to access even more resources using your NetID in the future.NetIDs are managed from within OASIS. Once you have an OASIS account (see above), you may view your NetID username and manage your NetID password using that system.
