Business Administration Major
I chose Heidelberg because the campus is beautiful and it felt like home.
I majored in Business Administration because I want to gain enough business credits to pass the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam.
A major challenge I encountered while at Heidelberg was managing work with school and I handled it by trying different time management strategies and having open communication with my professors.
Above all, Heidelberg prepared me to manage many stressful tasks and still remain positive and level-headed.
Outside of the classroom, I was involved in two jobs and Black Student Union (BSU)
My favorite extra-curricular activity was Black Student Union (BSU) because I felt like it gave me a purpose on campus.
One faculty or staff mentor or advisor who impacted my ‘Berg experience is Doug Woods because I didn’t know what career I would have chosen without talking to him about my future.
My advice to new freshman me would be give your best effort from the start. Professors are more understanding when they know you’re putting forth effort and it will be important when you look for a job.
My favorite Heidelberg memory is getting a house this year with my friends and making memories of our last year in school.
My plans after graduation are to move to Columbus and work at the No. 1 global public accounting firm, Deloitte.
