Political Science and Economics Major
I chose Heidelberg because of the close family atmosphere.
I majored in Political Science and Economics because those are two areas that I am very passionate about.
A major challenge I encountered while at Heidelberg was adjusting to campus life my freshman year and I handled it by putting myself out there and getting involved on campus.
Above all, Heidelberg prepared me to be successful in my potential career and life in general.
Outside of the classroom, I was involved on the track team, Student Athlete Advisory Committee, and Berg Events Council.
My favorite extra-curricular activity was being a part of the track team because of all the memories I’ve made and all the lifelong friends I made along the way.
One faculty or staff mentor or advisor who impacted my ‘Berg experience is Dr. Marc O’Reilly because he helped me when I switched to the political science major and he always pushes me to become a better student and person.
My advice to new freshman me would be get involved as much as you can.
My favorite Heidelberg memory is being able to go on the Model UN trip because of the valuable experience I gained and the people I was able to meet.
After graduation, I’m not sure of my plans yet. Just trying to survive.
