Travel Plans Form

Both the American Junior Year and Heidelberg Summer Programs offer two pick-up options on the day of arrival: Frankfurt International Airport or the Heidelberg Main Train Station. In order to make arrival as stress-free as possible, everyone will be met by the AJY program staff at the airport or at the train station. Please make sure you are at one these locations by 2:00 pm. to allow for sufficient time for room check-in between 3:00 to 5:00 pm. More detailed information, including what to do in case of flight delays or cancellations, will be sent to you approximately one week prior to arrival in Germany. To avoid problems with connecting flights, AJY strongly recommends that you pick a non-stop flight from the United States to Frankfurt whenever possible; for example, Washington Dulles Airport to Frankfurt, or Chicago O’Hare Airport to Frankfurt.

Please note: Students already in Europe (traveling or visiting with friends or family) are responsible for making their own arrangements to arrive in Heidelberg.
