The Office of Civic Engagement and the Alternative Break Club is sponsoring three Alternative Break trips this year. During spring break this year, three groups are volunteering for service projects with Habitat for Humanity in Elizabethtown, Kentucky; the Big Oaks Animal Rescue Farm in Hodges, South Carolina; and the Back Bay Mission in Biloxi, Mississippi.
'Berg names new VP for Enrollment Management & Marketing

President Rob Huntington has announced that Heidelberg University has appointed Dr. Anthony Bourne to the senior leadership position of Vice President for Enrollment Management and Marketing, effective May 4. Dr. Bourne has worked in higher education since 2007 and comes to Heidelberg from Rhodes State College in Lima, where he is currently serving as the Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs.
Four students are spending their spring break in Belize, Central America, together with professors Dr. Amy Berger and Dr. Michele Castleman. This week-long trip is the primary component for their class “Caribbean Biogeography”. While there, they explore reef, shore, and jungle environments.
