Heidelberg to welcome Russian pianist Nikita Mndoyants

World-renowned pianist Nikita Mndoyants gave his first public recital at age 8 and recorded his first CD at 10. He’ll bring his talents to Heidelberg University Friday, Jan. 26, as the School of Music & Theatre’s Distinguished Montague Artist. His concert, which is free and open to the public, will be at 7 p.m. in Brenneman Music Hall.

 Mdoyants’ concert will feature pieces by classical composers Haydn, Beethoven and Brahms, as well as an original composition, titled “Intermezzo.”

Heidelberg Theatre’s presentation of Little Women: The Musical next week will have a can’t-miss level of professionalism that continues to grow on the Gundlach Theatre stage. It’s all part of Director Stephen Svoboda’s goal to give students a quality, true experience, both on stage and behind the scenes, and provide the same for audiences.

It’s working. Cast members Kenzie James, Gavin Hubbard and Sam Stohlman also are working on tech crews with three professional designers Stephen brought to campus to work with them on costumes, lighting and set design.
