One of the strangest seasons imaginable has ended on a high note for the Heidelberg University wrestling team. On Friday, 'Berg junior Devin Miller was named the recipient of the Ohio Athletic Conference's John Summa Award, given to the top wrestler in the conference. Miller, along with two-time All-American Dylan Roth, were both selected as all-conference performers.

When Rachel Ferri and the ‘Berg women’s basketball team takes the court on Jan. 22, it’ll be her first game as a head coach and the first home athletic contest in nearly a year. And it can’t get here soon enough.
The COVID-19 pandemic forced the cancellation of all athletic competition last March, just as spring seasons were getting underway. The fall provided the opportunity for a phased, controlled return to athletic activities with strength and conditioning, smaller group practices and normal practices by the end of the semester.

After practice was over, I would watch the players walk into the indoor field and so badly want to go in there and see what it was like. Little did I know I would eventually work for the Browns and literally walk through that indoor field area every single day.”

One year after serving as a student representative for the Ohio Athletic Conference at the annual NCAA Convention, Heidelberg University senior P'hariz Watkins is headed back. Watkins was selected to attend the virtual conference in January as part of the NCAA Division III Student Immersion Program.
"I am honored to be selected," said Watkins, a member of the men's basketball team. "This convention is a great opportunity to network with people from all over the country and gain more knowledge about how the NCAA works in full."
