Athletic Training Major Requirements

Successful completion of all components of the Athletic Training Major meets the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE) requirements to sit for the Board of Certification (BOC) examination to become a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC).

Clinical Education:

Over the course of your four years in the Athletic Training Program, you will complete over 900 clinical hours in a variety of settings including collegiate athletics, high school athletics, rehabilitation, and general medicine.


This does not replace official academic requirements in the university catalog. Enrolled students will work their faculty advisor to ensure they meet all the requirements of their major.
