This major focuses on integrating information technology solutions with business processes to enable organizations to be efficient and to achieve their goals effectively. Students in this major are primarily concerned with the information that computer systems can provide to aid an organization, understanding both technical and organizational factors that are needed.

•  ACC 201: Financial Accounting
•  COM 100: Public Speaking and Engagement
•  ECO 251: Principles of Microeconomics
•  ECO 252: Principles of Macroeconomics

All Information Systems majors must complete one of the following concentrations in addition to the above core.

Concentration in Management Information Systems 

•  6 additional credit hours in IST or CPS at the 290-level or above

Concentration in Cybersecurity

•  IST 340: System and Network Administration
•  CPS 345: Computer and Network Security
•  POL 313: National Security Investigations or POL 389: Intelligence Operations

This does not replace official academic requirements in the university catalog. Enrolled students will work their faculty advisor to ensure they meet all the requirements of their major.
