Since 2010, Gail (Koechling) Cordy ’82 has made it a priority to return to campus regularly – to see old friends, make new ones and check on the growth of the university. She’s a fixture at major events such as PALS, Homecoming, Fellows Day and many others.

The wheels started spinning for Jim Reese, ’64, when he was asked to chair his 50th Class Reunion Giving Committee about five years ago. A little gentle arm twisting of classmate Bill Minor, and the two were off and running in their quest to lead their class’s successful reunion giving efforts.

Fellowship supports young alum teacher

First-generation alum Enya Granados did it all during her four years at Heidelberg: internships, student organizations, student research, faculty collaboration. Now, just three months after graduating with her bachelor’s degree in biology and education, she’s realized the first step in her dream to be a high school science teacher, and she’s getting a boost to get her career off on the right foot.

Denise Seachrist, ’82

Doors open for successful people because they have great passion and find great value in what they do. Dr. Denise Seachrist’s stage in higher education is impressive. As an intelligent, creative, hard-working lifelong learner, her teaching and administrative leadership skills place her an octave above the rest.

With humble beginnings as a graduate teaching assistant in music at Kent State University nearly 30 years ago, Denise rose to become dean and chief administrative officer at Kent State University at Stark in North Canton, Ohio, in 2016.
