Reporting to the Vice President for University Advancement & Alumni Affairs, the Major Gifts Officer develops programs and strategies to identify, cultivate, track and solicit alumni, parents, foundations, corporations, and friends of Heidelberg for gifts to fund institutional priorities. The Major Gifts Officer carries a portfolio of approximately 150 prospects. This position will also be a significant contributor to the planning, organization, and strategic implementation of other key initiatives to secure ongoing financial resources for the university, including leadership toward the

Director of Theatre/Assistant Professor of Theatre Faculty School of Music & Theatre

The Director of Theatre/Assistant Professor of Theatre is a dynamic teacher with a strong background in Acting, Directing and Theatre History.  The Director of Theatre will serve as a curricular and programmatic leader for the theatre department, guiding assessment and artistic programming.  The position teaches a 3-3 course load and directs one production per semester.  Additional instructional and directing opportunities are possible with approval from the Director of the School of Music and Theatre and AVPAA.

Significant PT Director of Bands/Instructor of Instrumental Music Education Faculty School of Music & Theatre

The Significant Part-time Director of Bands/Instructor of Instrumental Music Education is a dynamic teacher with a strong background in bands and instrumental music education.  The position carries a 75% teaching load, directing instrumental ensembles and teaching courses in instrumental music education. 

 

SUPERVISION RECEIVED:

This position will report directly to the Director of the School of Music and Theatre.  

 

SUPERVISION EXERCISED:

This position is responsible for hiring and managing all band work study positions with assistance from the School of Music and Theatre

Visiting Assistant Professor of Finance Faculty School of Business

The Visiting Assistant Professor of Finance provides instruction to undergraduate and graduate students.  This faculty appointment includes a full-time teaching load. This is a one-year position beginning August 2022 with the possibility of applying for a multi-year extension.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports directly to the Dean of the School of Business. 

SUPERVISION EXERCISED: The Visiting Assistant Professor of Finance may supervise teaching assistants and student research conducted in the department. 

 

Adjunct Instructor Biology Faculty Biology & Environmental Sciences Department

Adjunct Instructors of Biology are needed to provide instruction to undergraduate students in the following course subjects: Genetics; Genetics Labs, Human Medical Genetics or Cancer Genetics.  It is preferred that these courses are taught as seated courses on campus, but fully online or hybrid/hyflex options will also be considered.

Head Coach - Women's Lacrosse Administrative Athletics Office

GENERAL PURPOSE:

Residence Hall Director Administrative Residence Life and Housing

The Residence Hall Director, who reports to the Assistant Director of Residence Life and Housing, is responsible for supervising a student staff including Resident Advisors, and in some areas, Senior Resident Assistants. Senior Resident Assistants are students who have been RAs for at least one year who assume additional responsibilities for the administration of the residence hall program.  The Residence Hall Director works in conjunction with Resident Advisors and Senior Resident Assistants to provide living environments that promote academic and social success.

Administrative Assistant Support Staff Student Affairs Office

Reporting to the Dean of Student Affairs and the Assistant Director of Residence Life, the Administrative Assistant provides administrative support to the Dean of Student Affairs office.  This position will coordinate and contribute to a variety of activities and programs in support of the Student Affairs division of the University.  

The Administrative Assistant may provide general supervision over student employees and graduate assistants, including time records. 

 

Assistant Director of Alumni Engagement Administrative University Advancement and Marketing

Reporting to the Executive Director of Alumni Engagement and Major Gifts, the Assistant Director of Alumni Engagement will plan events, programs, and services related to the UAAA department including alumni, chapter, network, and donor events.  

The Assistant Director of Alumni Engagement will be responsible for working with the Executive Director on planning engagement and recognition events and will work collaboratively with UAAA staff. 

 

Career Services Specialist Administrative University Advancement and Marketing

The purpose of the Career Services Specialist is to develop a comprehensive career services program to support students and alumni by initiating and maintaining relationships with local, regional, and national businesses and alumni to facilitate internship opportunities.  In addition, this position holder will be responsible for presenting career-related educational workshops, maintaining and updating Handshake, planning and implementing job fairs, partnering with campus offices to offer on campus internships, and assisting with HYPE Career Ready® events.

IT Analyst Administrative Computer, Network & Information Technology Office

Reporting to the Director of Enterprise Applications, the IT Analyst will be responsible for assisting departments across campus in the reporting of Banner data via Argos, as well as managing data integrations between Banner and connected third party systems.  This position will have responsibility for assisting with the management of systems in the Banner environment.

Heidelberg University has a NASM accredited Community Music School (CMS), that provides private lessons, classes, ensembles, theatre productions and a yearly summer camp for Seneca County and beyond.  The CMS is a prime recruitment tool for Heidelberg University, as we have a 65% conversion rate of CMS participants to Heidelberg students.  The CMS also advocates for the arts and arts education in rural Ohio, supporting local schools and building our community of future artists and art consumers.

Graduate Assistant Graduate Assistant Athletics Office

Heidelberg University, located in Tiffin, Ohio, is seeking Graduate Assistants.  Reporting to the respective Head Coach, the Graduate Assistant is a ten-month position starting August 1, 2022 and is renewable for two consecutive years (two years total). The 2nd year appointment is contingent upon successful completion of GA duties and responsibilities. All GA’s must adhere to their graduate program requirements and must be enrolled in graduate coursework in each semester of the appointment.

Financial Aid Processor and Loan Specialist Administrative Financial Aid Office

The Financial Aid Processor and Loan Specialist is an entry-level position that will be responsible for the day-to-day Administrative and Processing Operations in the Financial Aid office. The person in this position may be trained in the functions that provide delivery of critical strategies in  financial aid awarding as it pertains to prospective and continuing students if necessary.

Annual salary is $35,000.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED:

Reports directly to the Director of Financial Aid.

SUPERVISION EXERCISED:

Will not have any supervisory duties. 

 

 

Bus Driver Support Staff Krammes Service Center

Heidelberg University is hiring a pool of bus drivers to transport students for athletic and extracurricular events during the academic year (August 2022 through May 2023). The rate of pay is $19/hour. 

Reporting to the Custodial Operations and Transportation Manager, the part-time Bus Driver will provide transportation to athletics and other extracurricular groups using University-owned buses.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports directly to the Custodial Operations and Transportation Manager.  

SUPERVISION EXERCISED: Bus drivers do not provide direct supervision of employees.
