About

Professor Drew Blazsik holds an MBA in Finance, an MA in Economics, an MA in Criminal Justice, and a BA in Economics, all from the University of Toledo. He is a Certified Financial Modeling & Valuation Analyst (FMVA) and Certified Capital Markets & Securities Analyst (CMSA), and he also holds the Advanced Financial Modeler (AFM) designation from the Financial Modeling Institute.

Professor Blazsik is the creator of the Structured Immediate Method (SIM), an innovative, AI-resistant teaching process that emphasizes process mastery, immediate feedback, and applied learning in financial modeling. His approach is designed to prepare students for real-world finance roles and professional certifications by focusing on hands-on, sequential skill-building rather than memorization.

He is also the founder of Logos & Markets, LLC, a platform dedicated to connecting finance, economics, and ethics in a way that benefits both students and business professionals. Through Logos & Markets, Professor Blazsik shares insights, resources, and educational content designed to foster mastery and efficiency in business processes. Leveraging the SIM method, he plans to develop specialized business learning modules aimed at helping learners build skills systematically and master processes for long-term success.

His primary focus is on teaching finance, particularly financial modeling, corporate finance, investments, and portfolio management, while integrating professional certifications from the Financial Modeling Institute and the Corporate Finance Institute into coursework.

Outside the classroom, Professor Blazsik researches financial modeling pedagogy, corporate finance, Catholic economic ethics, monetary systems, central banks, and the evolving role of cryptocurrency in global markets. He lives in Holland, Ohio, with his wife, Jessie, and their seven children.
