Dr. Carole Thomas, HUs Director of Career and Military Services, attended the session to hear about internship and job opportunities. The discussion on the security and legal concerns was informative and eye-opening for the students who worked on a semester-long project, developing AI training for the workplace. At the end of the semester, students presented their training project to the class with special guests, Victoria Black, Chief Human Resources and Compliance Officer, and Carrie Flayler, HR Generalist, from Heidelberg Universitys HR office.Students in HRM 440, Training and Development, and HRM 340, Human Resource Management, spent the day at the Northwest Ohio Human Resource Association conference held at The Toledo Zoo and Aquarium on March 14. FourDr. Matthew Ritzmanstudents, Logan Niese, Carter Piasecki, Antwan Torres, and Zachariaus Wartley heard keynote speaker Scott McGohan discuss leadership and culture and received a copy of his book, Leadership Lessons-Culture is an Inside Job. Other speakers discussed civility in the workplace, the importance of wellness, and inclusive hiring. They also met with vendors including HU alum Michael Ditmer. The conference included breakfast and lunch.
