Cynthia Snyder Ramsdell, staff accompanist and community music school instructor, plays piano for the Concert Choir, the University-Community Chorus, and student and faculty performances. She also serves as choral accompanist at Tiffin City Schools, Seneca East local schools, Calvert High School, and The All-Ohio State Fair Youth Choir. She is Staff Accompanist at Tiffin University where she is also an adjunct professor of Music Appreciation and Private Studio Instructor in Voice and Piano. She has been previously employed at The University of Findlay and Grove City College as Adjunct Piano Instructor. She was formerly staff accompanist at the University of Central Arkansas and has been a music teacher in private and public schools in Pennsylvania.
At Heidelberg, Cynthia was the Director of the Community Music School for seven years, developing the program from seven private students to several hundred students involved in private and group instruction annually. She also previously accompanied the Singing Collegians and several musical theater productions at Heidelberg, The Ritz Theater, and Calvert High School.
She has been teaching private voice and piano lessons for 24 years, having seen several of her students become professional musicians and music educators. She hails from Findlay, Ohio, where she was an accompanist for the award-winning Findlay First Edition Show Choir. As a youngster, she was quoted as saying, "God made fingers to play pianos." With her husband, Dr. Greg Ramsdell, she sings and plays on the praise team at The Journey Church and is mother to four children.
