Originally from Montreal, Canada. Recipient of the International Studies Association-Midwest award for outstanding teaching and mentoring. Recipient of Heidelberg’s Faculty of the Year Award and distinguished teaching and research awards. Author of Unexceptional: America’s Empire in the Persian Gulf, 1941-2007 (Lexington Books). Author of multiple journal articles and book chapters. Regularly present research papers at the annual conferences of the International Studies Association (ISA) and ISA-Midwest.
