It’ll be “Some Enchanted Evening” when the Heidelberg University Symphonic Band, along with vocal and theatre students, present favorites from Rodgers and Hammerstein in “A Grand Night for Singing” Feb. 23-24 in Gundlach Theatre. Show time both nights is 7:30 p.m.
“A Grand Night for Singing” is a musical theatre revue featuring songs from some of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s lesser-known shows such as “Allegro” and “State Fair” as well as big hits from popular and beloved productions, including “Carousel,” “Oklahoma,” “The King and I,” “Cinderella” and “South Pacific.”

Performance and Drum Circle
A performance by Mark Stone and then a final final drum circle by all participants.
The one woman show, made famous by legendary actress Julie Harris, tells the life story of famous poet Emily Dickinson. The audience is invited into the world of Emily Dickinson, with all of its secrets, eccentricities and passions. In her own words, Emily says “Every town must have its local character – and that’s what I am!”
Come hear world famous pianist, Nikita Mndoyants, in your own backyard!

Participants will perform mock auditions and receive feedback from School of Music and Theatre faculty, have a private voice lesson on their musical selection and attend afternoon workshops on a broad variety of topics.
